YLL is an important and useful metric for assessing the mortality impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, we calculated the fatal burden associated with COVID-19 and other causes of death in Australia from 2019 to 2022.<\/p>\n<h2>Methods<\/h2>\n<p>The analysis was conducted using demographic and death data contained within the Person Level Integrated Data Asset. The study population included all deaths which occurred between 2019 to 2022 in Australia that were received and registered by the Australian Bureau of Statistic (ABS) by 31 March 2023.
